Dr. Mario Soflano is a is an expert in the field of applied computer science at Glasgow Caledonian University. His work on novel algorithms and their practical applications was the subject of his Ph.D. study in computer science. Possessing a solid background in computing theory and practice, Dr. Soflano has made a substantial contribution to the field’s understanding in software development, data analytics, and machine learning, among other fields. In addition, he holds a Master’s degree in computer science with a focus on artificial intelligence, which served as the foundation for his upcoming research projects.
dr. Ahmad Hidayat, M.Sc, MBA
Scientific Advisor
Dr. Ahmad Hidayat is a well-known figure in Indonesia’s healthcare sector, serving as the Secretary of Research and Scientific Publications at the Indonesian Medical Association (Ikatan Dokter Indonesia). His work focusses on improving health research in the digital era, especially by encouraging partnerships to strengthen the country’s healthcare system. In order to improve public health outcomes, Dr. Hidayat believes that the utilisation of health data via platforms such as SATUSEHAT will accelerate the growth of Indonesia’s healthcare and medical education facilities.
In his role, Dr. Hidayat oversees programs aimed at fortifying Indonesia’s Health Information Systems (HIS). He advocates multi-stakeholder partnerships that include the public and commercial sectors, as well as educational institutions, in order to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the use of health data. He hopes to assist Indonesia’s healthcare system’s digital transformation through his leadership.
Dr. Inswati Cahyani, Ph.D.
Scientific Advisor
Dr. Inswati Cahyani is a lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Nottingham. Her area of expertise is bioinformatics, specifically using Oxford Nanopore technology for long-read DNA sequencing. This innovative method allows for more efficient and accurate sequencing of genomes, which is critical for understanding genetic information in various organisms. Additionally, Dr. Cahyani has made a substantial contribution to research, such as the genome profile of SARS-CoV-2, which has been crucial to pandemic studies, particularly in Indonesia and the surrounding areas.
Dr. Cahyani’s academic background includes an extensive focus on RNA interference and 3D genome organization, as seen through her contributions to research involving chromatin, epigenetics, and ribosomal DNA stability. Numerous high-impact publications have published her work, which highlights her contribution to the field of molecular biology and genomic studies. She continues to contribute significantly to the fields of genetics and bioinformatics through her research and teaching.
Prof. Juliana Sutanto, Ph.D.
Scientific Advisor
Juliana Sutanto is a renowned scholar in the field of Information Systems. Currently, she is a professor at Monash University’s Department of Human-Centred Computing. She’s coordinator the Digital Equity and Digital Transformation Group and her research focuses on system design, users’ behavioral analysis, and data management. She also oversees the activities in Indonesia for the IT Faculty at Monash University. In the scientific community, Prof. Juliana’s work is highly esteemed. Her research has been published in prestigious journals like Journal of the Association for Information Systems and MIS Quarterly. Digital resilience and IT-supported decision-making during catastrophe response are among her areas of competence.
Prof. Juliana’s academic career started in 2008 when she graduated with a PhD from the National University of Singapore. Later then, she worked at ETH Zurich as the Chair of Management Information Systems before moved to Lancaster University in 2015. She has received numerous awards for her research achievements, including the Informs ISS Design Science Award for privacy-safe design. Prof. Juliana’s academic influence is also reflected in her editorial roles, notably as a Senior Editor of the Journal of the Association for Information Systems.
Dr. Ahmad Utomo, Ph.D
Scientific Advisor
Dr. Ahmad Utomo is a molecular biologist with a significant role in cancer diagnostics in Indonesia. He is affiliated with Universitas YARSI and is actively involved in advancing precision medicine. Dr. Utomo has contributed to initiatives such as PathGen, a biotechnology company focusing on cancer precision medicine.
Dr. Ahmad Utomo has a strong molecular medicine academic background. He obtained his Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Texas, USA. From 2003 to 2007, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the pathology department of Harvard Medical School. He also graduated from Texas’ Angelo State University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Nowadays, Dr. Utomo works as a reputable professor and researcher at Universitas YARSI, where he specialize in molecular biology and cancer diagnostics.
dr. Dewa Datara Nyoman

Dewa was born in Denpasar, Indonesia, in 1989. He received his medical degree from University of Indonesia in 2012. After working in several of Indonesia’s most remote area in the field of medical service and education, he continued his studies at Anatomical Pathology Department Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta – Indonesia. There, he pursuing specialist degree in anatomical pathology and currently working on his thesis in which he applied convolutional neural network on pathology images. His interest is focused on developing practical approach to accelerate digital pathology adaptation. “Alea iacta est”: We are at a point of no return, and we just need to be part of it (digital approach to the disease).

Romulus Sutanto is a skilled professional known for his role as the Head of Direct Retail, B2B & Coaches at PT HM Sampoerna Tbk. in Indonesia. He completed his high school education at Taruna Nusantara Senior High School from 1996 to 1999. He then pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Universitas Katolik Parahyangan. Didik is a highly accomplished academic and medical professional with a background in the field of pathology. Currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Anatomic Pathology at Universitas Gadjah Mada, he has made significant contributions to the medical community through his extensive education and expertise.
Didik embarked on his academic journey by earning his Bachelor’s degree in Medicine from the University of Gadjah Mada in 2005. His thirst for knowledge and dedication to his field led him to pursue a PhD at Kobe University in Japan, which he successfully completed in 2012. In 2013, Dr. Didik took a significant step in his career by specializing in Anatomic Pathology at Universitas Gadjah Mada. This specialization honed his skills and knowledge in the field, preparing him for a distinguished career as a pathologist.
Didik’s areas of expertise encompass a wide range of pathology, with a primary focus on Gastrointestinal, Liver, Respiratory, and Mediastinal Pathology. His depth of knowledge in these areas has made him a sought-after expert in diagnosing and understanding diseases affecting these vital organ systems.

Prior to this, he gained valuable experience as a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Dr. Ines I Atmosukarto, Ph.D.

Dr. Ines is a scientist, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Scientific Officer for Lipotek—a niche start-up company based in Canberra, Australia. Lipotek is a privately held Australian company (ABN 51 098 824 509) with laboratories and offices on the campus of the Australian National University. The company operates primarily as a research and development entity seeking to identify, protect, and commercialize proprietary liposome-based technologies. In addition, Ines also spends part of her time with the Irradiation Immunity Interaction lab at the John Curtin School of Medical Research at the Australian National University. Ines was previously a Research Scientist and Project Leader at the Research Center for Biotechnology of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) since 2001-2006.
Ines holds a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Adelaide. She is an internationally recognized research scientist with numerous awards to her name, including a 2009 Australian Alumni Award for Research and Innovation, presented by the Australian Embassy in Jakarta for her dedication to finding new treatments for cancer and infectious diseases to save the lives of others. Dr. Ines also became the first Indonesian woman to win a fellowship from UNESCO-L’Oreal For Women In Science in 2004. As a recipient of a UNESCO-L’OREAL Fellowship for young women in science she had the opportunity to conduct research on endophytic microbes at the laboratories of Professor Gary Strobel at MSU, USA. In 2012 Ines was also awarded the Anugerah Iptek Nasional by Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudoyono.
Asep M. Ridwanuloh

Asep is a reseacher at Research Center for Genetic Engineering BRIN. He is a member of the International Association for Study of Lung Cancer. He graduated for Universitas Jenderal Soedirman in Purwokerto majoring chemistry and obtained his masters degree in biotechnology in Institute Pertanian Bogor. He has gained experience in how to synthesize some compounds as a drug candidate to inhibit tumour cells, and in the last seven years he has developed some nucleotide-based methods for cancer detection.
Prof. DR. Dr. Aru W. Sudoyo, Sp.PD, KHOM, FINASIM, FACP

Professor Aru is a leading oncologist in Indonesia and senior staff at Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology, Department of Internal Medicine, Universitas Indonesia. He also currently is the chair of Indonesia Cancer Foundation (Yayasan Kanker Indonesia/YKI) and The Indonesian Society for Oncology. He was among the first to publish the work about the higher frequency of young colorectal cancer (CRC) patients in Indonesia. His recent research involves the study of molecular marker of CRC.
Dr. Wien Kusharyoto

Dr Wien is a Head of Laboratory of Applied Genetic Engineering and Protein Design, Research Center for Biotechnology – Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI). His expertise includes structural bioinformatics (protein modelling, docking and molecular dynamics simulation), protein engineering (molecular cloning and protein expression in E. coli and P. pastoris protein modification, protein chromatography), and molecular diagnostics (multiplex PCR, nucleic acid lateral flow assay).
He did his graduate and postgraduate study in Germany where He obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Dipl.-Chem. Certificate) from Technical University Braunschweig and his PhD (Dr. rer. nat. Certificate) from University Stuttgart.
Prof. Mohammad Ilyas, FRCPath
Scientific Advisor
Professor Ilyas is Professor of Pathology at the University of Nottingham. His research encompasses both basic science and translational research. His areas of interest include the molecular pathology of cancer (especially the roles of Wnt signalling, CD24 and TNS4 in tumourigenesis), liquid biopsy testing for cancer surveillance and digital pathology. Together with his former PhD student, Ms. Susanti, he initiated the NICCRAT (Nottingham-Indonesia collaboration for Clinical Research and Training) initiative to promote the partnership between researchers in the UK and Indonesia
Imran Zaki

Imran is a Public Relations at PathGen and a recent graduate of Universitas Padjadjaran. During his time as a student, he gained valuable experience in managing social media platforms and copywriting through internships. His background includes creating engaging content, analyzing social media trends, and developing strategies to increase audience engagement. Although new to the professional field, Imran’s internship experience has provided him with practical skills that he continues to apply in his role, where he is committed to creating effective digital content and enhancing brand visibility.
Nurul Putri Pratama
Finance and Accounting Officer
Nurul is a Finance & Accounting Officer at PathGen with extensive experience in overseeing financial operations. She previously interned at Bank Indonesia in the Licensing Department, where she was tasked with managing and processing data from Rural Banks (BPR) across different regions of Indonesia during her semester breaks. With around six years of experience in the finance sector, she has honed her expertise in financial analysis, data management, and regulatory compliance. Her background demonstrates a strong understanding of the financial industry and a commitment to ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes.
Nur Prasetya
Management and Administrative Officer
Prasetya holds a double degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona and in Banking and Finance Management from Sampoerna University. He is equipped with master-level expertise in key areas of management and administration, providing a strong foundation in both business operations and financial strategy.
Fajar Fatmawati
Executive Asisstant, Director Office Department
Fajar is a Public Health graduate from Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) who currently serves as the Personal Assistant to the CEO of PathGen, while also pursuing her primary career as an epidemiologist. In her role at the Yogyakarta City Health Office (Dinas Kesehatan Kota Yogyakarta), Fajar specializes in data collection and analysis, providing actionable insights to help plan for and mitigate potential health crises. Her research experience includes working as a Research Assistant in the Clinical Epidemiology & Biostatistics Unit at Universitas Gadjah Mada, where she contributed to significant public health studies.

She graduated as a pharmacist from Universitas Muhammdiyah Purwokerto (UMP) – Indonesia. Her interest in the study included the development of nanoparticles for cosmetics/skin delivery systems. Previously, she worked as R &D project officer at a traditional medicine company.

She pursued her master’s study in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology Programs at Chulalongkorn University and was a recipient of the ASEAN and Non-ASEAN Scholarship. She graduated as a pharmacist from Universitas Muhammdiyah Purwokerto (UMP) – Indonesia. Her interest in the study included the development of nanoparticles for cosmetics/skin delivery systems. Previously, she worked as R &D project officer at a traditional medicine company.
Zakiyatul Khoiriyah
Clinical Validation Coordinator, Research and Development Department
Zakiya holds a Master’s in Biology from Wageningen University and Research, specializing in Health and Disease, currently serves as a Molecular Scientist at PT. PathGen Diagnostik Teknologi. In this role, she establishes and maintains crucial relationships with clinicians to facilitate clinical trials, ensuring the efficacy and reliability of molecular assays and diagnostic tools developed by PathGen. Her adept networking skills ensure effective communication and secure procurement of biological specimens for validation studies. Additionally, Zakiya actively contributes to the grant-seeking process, preparing compelling proposals to advance PathGen’s research objectives. Her proactive approach significantly enhances the success of PathGen’s research initiatives.
Prior to her current role, Zakiya honed her skills through academic internships and research assistant positions. Notably, her contributions to exploring Atovaquone’s efficacy as an anti-ZIKV agent significantly impacted top-tier publications and therapies for ZIKV patients. Additionally, her roles as a Research Assistant showcased her prowess in experimental design and mentoring. Zakiya has also demonstrated leadership in community service and academic initiatives, such as coordinating emergency response efforts and organizing educational workshops. Her diverse skills span molecular biology, virology, and protein work, complemented by proficiency in software tools like SnapGene, BioEdit, and GraphPad Prism. Moreover, Zakiya’s diverse research interests, from viral strategies to cellular therapies, highlight her versatility and dedication to scientific inquiry. Her achievements, including prestigious scholarships and academic recognitions, underscore her commitment to excellence in academia and beyond.
Alim El Hakim
Bioinformatician, Research and Development Department
Alim is a bioinformatician with extensive experience in analyzing genomics, epigenomics, and transcriptomics data. His background in bioinformatics research has allowed him to develop skills in using high-performance computers (HPC) and cloud computing platforms to analyze complex biological datasets. Currently, Alim is focusing on projects that involve next-generation sequencing technologies to contribute to healthcare advancements. His commitment to computational methodologies in biomedical research reflects his desire to contribute to innovation and progress in the field.
Abdi Rahman Nursyamsi
Digital Products Coordinator, Research and Development Department
Abdi holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology by focus study in Microbiology. After graduating, he built a career in healthcare as a Covid-19 Analyst. Currently, Abdi is a Biostatistician with 2 years of experience, and also a healthcare practitioner in several fields including administration, logistic, and epidemiologic data. He built a career as a data analyst in the Ministry of Health, starting from an enrolled position as a data administration of logistic procurement in National Institute of Health Research and Development then became a data officer in Health Policy Agency. He contributed to the National Project Community-Based Survey of Serological Covid-19 Antibody as a data analyst team focusing on data visualization.
Muhammad Zulfikar Arief
Molecular and Bioinformatics Coordinator, Research and Development Department
Zulfikar is a biologist with a strong foundation in molecular biology and bioinformatics, having earned his bachelor’s degree from Universitas Indonesia. He began his journey at the Indonesian Medical Education and Research Institute (IMERI), where he focused on molecular cancer research as a laboratory technician. This early experience set the stage for his diverse career, which later expanded into the healthcare sector, where he held roles as a laboratory coordinator and COVID-19 analyst at a private clinic in Jakarta. Zulfikar also has a passion for genomic data science, which has equipped him with advanced capabilities in NGS data analysis and visualization. At PathGen, he now serves as the molecular and bioinformatics coordinator, leading the design, development, and troubleshooting of innovative in-vitro diagnostic products, contributing to the company’s mission of advancing molecular diagnostics.
Andi Nurul Annisa
Health Technology Assesment Coordinator, Research and Development Department
Andi Nurul is a pharmacoeconomic-scientist who currently holds Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) Scholarship to pursue her master degree in Global Urban Health Programme at Universitätsklinikum Freiburg, Germany. She also pursued her first master degree in Social and Administrative Pharmacy Programme at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. Furthermore, she is keen on expanding her interests not only health economics, health policy, and data-driven advisory but also literature-based research. This was proved by taking a role in the project “Cardiovascular diseases: A handbook for pharmacists” along with distingued experts in International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP). She got involved beforehand to analyse cost-utilisation of fibrinolytic therapy in Myocardium Infarct along with The Indonesian Health Technology Assessment Agencies in 2019. With her current activities, she truly hopes escalating her abilities to support value-based care research in novel drugs, medical devices, and health-related procedures.
Gilang Akbariani

Gilang is young scientist with degree in Pharmacy from Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. Gilang is one of the researchers who is working primarily in PathGen Diagnostik Teknologi doing the day to day research and development for the company. She obtained her masters degree from Institute of Biomedical Materials and Tissue Engineering, Taipei Medical University. She has vast experience in nanoparticle formulation of medicinal plant active compounds for cancer and anti-inflammatory agents.
Irawan Mulyadi

Irawan Mulyadi is an IT entrepreneur with a long history of innovation in the strategic application of technology. Including business process, solution architect, business analyst, and technological specialist in addition to the field of entrepreneurship. His global experience encompasses a wide spectrum of assignments, from analysis to execution. Irawan began his professional career in finance, and then he was followed as a subject matter expert in Australia by technology consultants. He went back to Indonesia in the middle of 2000 to start a huge information technology enterprise.
Irawan has made numerous profitable investments in the fields of mobile applications, e-commerce, social media, payment gateways, and e-health. In addition to serving on the boards of directors of numerous organisations, he actively works to advance the small and medium-sized economies of Africa and ASEAN. Irawan is the Forum of Small-Medium Economic Africa-ASEAN’s director and deputy secretary general (www.forseaa.org). Swinburne University in Victoria, Australia awarded Mr. Mulyadire a Bachelor of Information Technology degree.

Astrid is a law graduate from Universitas Gadjah Mada. She pursued a master degree in supply chain management at Erasmus University of Rotterdam. She is certified legal auditor by ASAHI (Asosiasi Auditor Hukum Indonesia/ Indonesia Association for Legal Auditors) and member of PERADI (Perhimpuan Advokat Indonesia/ Indonesia Advocates Association). She is now working as senior counsel of legal and regulatory compliance at a state owned company which engages in port related business.

Michael Rampangilei is the Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer of Pathgen Diagnostik Teknologi, a pioneering company dedicated to advancing cancer diagnostics and screening tools. With a deep commitment to precision medicine, Pathgen thrives on research and collaboration to drive innovation in healthcare. He brings a unique blend of medical expertise and strategic leadership to his role, holding a background in sports medicine. Prior to founding Pathgen, he served as the Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at Asa Ren, Indonesia’s largest privately-owned biobank. His strategic vision and leadership significantly contributed to Asa Ren’s growth and prominence in the biomedical field.
Dr. Susanti
Founder & CEO
Susanti is the Chief Executive Officer at PT. PathGen Diagnostik Teknologi. She began her career as a registered pharmacist with a strong foundation in pharmacology, pharmacotherapy, and clinical pharmacy. She advanced her academic journey by earning a PhD, focusing on molecular pathology, molecular genetics, and cancer biology. As a researcher, she developed 3D culture models and sharpened her laboratory skills. Her academic career includes roles such as Adjunct Lecturer at Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto and Postdoctoral Researcher at Cancer Research UK Beatson Institute, where she worked on cutting-edge cancer research.
Building on her scientific expertise and personal journey as a colorectal cancer survivor, Susanti transitioned into entrepreneurship. She founded PT. PathGen Diagnostik Teknologi to develop affordable molecular genotyping solutions tailored to resource-limited settings like Indonesia. Her unique insights into cancer care guide PathGen’s innovations. In addition to her leadership at PathGen, Susanti’s ability to manage complex administrative tasks and work under pressure was showcased when she served as a member of Indonesia’s COVID-19 Research and Innovation Consortium, convened by the Ministry of Research and Technology in 2020.
