BOGOR – PathGen Diagnostic Technology had collaborated with TANOTO Foundation through the Professional Exploration Project (PEP) with TELADAN scholars. TELADAN scholars who joined remote internship project were Febilia from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Celine from Universitas Sumatera Utara, and Riska Niar Maulida from Universitas Brawijaya. This internship program was started from April to June 2022.
Each student took a different programme according to the student’s academic background. The topics taken included 1. Bioinformatics analysis, namely accessing genomic databases available online, conducting genomic variant analysis, and downstream analysis such as making phylogenetic trees, 2. Statistical modeling and machine learning, namely apply machine learning methods to create a pathology and microbiology object detection model. These two projects were led by two trained scientists from Pathgen Diagnostic Technology, Satrio Wibowo and Asep M Ridwanuloh as a supervised. And the last topic was 3. Making Market Analysis and White Paper, namely managing and studying things that affect the results of the marketing process, with the final result of making an article containing an explanation of a project to provide clarity to investors and potential users. The presence of these students was supervised by two executive assistants Andi Nurul Annisa and Fajar Fatmawati and two experts in the business and development Traheka Erdyas Bimanatya and Aulia Ali.
This internship program was opened and closed by the Director of PT PathGen Diagnostik Teknologi, Dr. Susanti. Dr. Susanti wished after participating in the internship will provide benefits, knowledge, and up-scaling of all students’ skills. Dr. Susanti believed that the opportunities that all students obtained from PathGen could support them for being well-prepared in the field of work that they are interested in. (PathGen/fafa)
